Esposende renews its floating infrastructure for maritime-tourist activities
20-05-2020
En contraposición con el embarcadero al que sustituye, este nuevo muelle ofrece unas mejores condiciones de atraque.
The Municipality of Esposende, in Portugal, has improved its maritime infrastructure with a new floating pontoon at the river mouth of the Cávado River to support maritime-tourist activities. Lindley has been the company that has carried out the manufacture and installation of the floating equipment located next to the Esposende marina, near the city center.
In contrast to the pier replaced, this new pontoon offers better berthing conditions: a larger size with a length of 20 meters (the previous one, 12) and a width of 3 meters (previously 2.5 metres), in addition to to be made of concrete because it is a fairly exposed enclave. The pier also has a security gate, an access gangway and a mooring system that uses the two existing piles with four sets of chains and sinkers.
