Fred Olsen installs a docking pontoon for its mini-ferry at Playa Blanca Port, Lanzarote

Almarin has completed a new docking area for the Buganvilla Express mini-ferry, with a capacity for 250 passengers, at Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. Following Fred Olsen’s request, Almarin supplied and installed the floating infrastructure using a pile anchoring system with its piling tower. The vessel will provide connections between Corralejo, Fuerteventura, and Playa Blanca.

Almarin installed over 40 linear meters of floating aluminum pontoon with a freeboard of 1.6 meters, accessed from the pier via a 17-meter access gangway. This gangway is adapted for people with reduced mobility, featuring a non-slip composite floor, and is fixed to land with a small balcony. Additionally, safety elements such as handrails, a ladder, and an emergency pedestal have been installed.
