Marina de Palamós upgrades floating infrastructure at jetty J

Marina de Palamós has upgraded the floating infrastructure at the head of jetty J by installing a new L-shaped pontoon. Almarin was responsible for supplying and installing this structure, which consists of a 12-meter-long floating pontoon and a 7.5-meter-long finger.

The pontoon, part of Lindley’s Faro HD range, is made of aluminum with concrete floats, while the finger, also made of aluminum, features rotomolded polyethylene floats.

The new infrastructure is equipped with all necessary accessories to ensure safe use: fixed step, handrail, mooring cleats, and a post for proper signage.

Regarding the mooring system, the existing grey beams were reused, incorporating new rings. To speed up installation on site, the pontoons were delivered with the floats already assembled, ready for placement in the water.
