New tourist piers at Almourol Castle

Lindley supplied two new river piers providing access to Almourol Castle in Vila Nova da Barquinha – one upstream and one downstream of the island.
The new piers ensure better boarding and disembarking conditions for visitors, contributing to the tourism enhancement of one of the most iconic monuments in the Médio Tejo region.
Both structures consist of Sagres HD system steel walkways with composite decking, offering high durability, low maintenance, and aesthetic integration with the natural environment of the Tagus River.
The setup allows safe and functional access to tourist boats, regardless of river flow variations.
