2026 World Sailing Inclusion Championships

The World Sailing Inclusion Championships 2026 will bring together more than 230 sailors from 40 countries in Portimão, making it one of the largest inclusive and para sailing events ever held. Organized under the umbrella of World Sailing, the championship stands out for bringing together athletes with different types of disabilities and sailors competing in the inclusive category, celebrating their abilities, determination, and equal opportunities in sport.

Following its inaugural edition in Oman, the second edition arrives in Portimão with record participation numbers and is organized by Vela Solidária, an internationally recognized association with extensive experience in adapted sailing events. Over ten days, the city will welcome athletes from around the world, including international champions and rising talents, in an event that goes far beyond competition by promoting inclusion, diversity, and inspiring stories of resilience and achievement.
