The Port of Almería has completed works to improve the safety and operation of the landing area and anchoring of fishing vessels after the installation of new floating pontoons. Almarin, at the request of UTE Fondeadero Almería, awarded the public tender, supplied and installed two floating concrete pontoons in the breakwater area, with a capacity of 40 new berths.

The two sets of concrete pontoons, from the manufacturer Lindley, which are accessed by aluminum walkways, have a total length of 30 meters and a width of 2.4 meters. These types of pontoons stand out for their robustness, durability and stability, with water and electricity service towers and locks. The Port Authority of Almería also implemented an anchorage system through elastic moorings tied to concrete corpses, avoiding the use of chains.
