Lindley has completed the installation of a new tourist access pier on the S. Roque Canal in Aveiro, strengthening the city’s nautical infrastructure and enhancing the experience for visitors, residents, and tourists.
The project includes the implementation of a floating system in aluminium FARO+, Lindley's mid-range model, ideal for areas with moderate traffic and calm waters. The structure features a 12x2 metre gangway and an access bridge, ensuring safe boarding and disembarkation for passengers.
The pontoon deck is made of composite, a sustainable, low-maintenance material that blends with the natural and scenic identity of the canal. The infrastructure also considers the regular cleaning requirements of Aveiro's urban canals, and the pier is suspended over its mooring during those operations.
This project reinforces Lindley’s commitment to providing innovative, high-quality solutions for the maritime and river sectors, promoting accessibility and sustainable tourism in Portugal.
