Balizamar EVO C1600T ME buoy
As part of the Algae Regeneration project in Nazaré, promoted by the Hope Zones Foundation, LINDLEY was responsible for supplying and installing the marine signaling required to mark and delimit the intervention area.
The scope of supply included the manufacturing and delivery of 4 Balizamar EVO C1600T ME buoys, the coastal buoy model from the ALMARIN range, suitable for depths between 20 and 50 meters. These buoys feature a 1,600 mm diameter float, a focal plane of 3.56 m, and a volume of 2.6 m³, making them suitable for beacons with a nominal range between 1 and 5 nautical miles. Their modular structure, made of rotomolded polyethylene, sits on a hot-dip galvanized steel base with a stainless steel top mark, ensuring high corrosion resistance, ease of maintenance and replacement, and good visibility in a marine environment.
The supply also included the respective signaling lighting, ensuring buoy visibility at night and in low-visibility conditions in compliance with marine aids to navigation requirements, as well as the associated mooring systems, dimensioned to guarantee the anchoring and stability of the buoys on the seabed against the wave and current conditions of the Nazaré coastal area.
This marine signaling plays a key role in the project by enabling the safe and visible delimitation and marking of the area dedicated to algae regeneration, contributing to the protection of the intervention zone and the safety of navigation in the vicinity.
