The Porto Moniz fishing pier, on Madeira Island, opened in July 2011, is 45m long and serves for mooring local fishing vessels. Three continuous floating pontoons with 2.7m wide and 15m long were used. These concrete pontoons, manufactured by Lindley in Portugal, are purposely designed for the mooring of heavy boats. This installation was moored using HEB wall beams anchored to the existing pier.
