The Port of Blanes (Spain) is a tourist enclave that registers an increase activity during the summer. In order to provide service to this greater number of users and vessels, Ports de la Generalitat contracted Almarin to supply and install a new concrete pontoon of 12 meters long and 2,4 meters wide, with the goal to expand their infrastructures in the future.

These types of structures are also used as floating wave attenuators; for this reason, it is an ideal pontoon for this location, since it is a sheltered and quiet area during the summer but with agitation during the winter. This concrete contains fibers to prevent microcracks, as well as providing excellent impermeability, stability and load capacity. In addition, the walkway has been designed to be able to be disconnected from the pontoon during the winter in case of a lot of agitation.
